I had to replace the cylinder head gasket on my 1991 735iA because of pressure leaking out into the cooling system. Eventually the coolant went through to some oil channels. The lobes on the camshaft were worn, as were the rockers. The head was skimmed 0,20mm. I sourced a like new camshaft and bought brand new rockers. The valves were cleaned and lapped and valve clearance was set to 0,35 mm cold on both sides. An entire ELRING cylinder head gasket set was installed.
